Tiare Kahana is a performing and teaching artist presenting Polynesian dance and hula to audiences throughout Connecticut and New England since 2006. In 2017, she officially relinquished the responsibilites of managing the Kahana Hula Dance Company, in order to work at a pace more manageable with her condition of Fibromayalgia.
As a 30-year yoga practitioner, and certified fitness trainer, she turned to the practice of yoga and meditation to manage the symptoms of chronic pain. Beyond grateful for the effectiveness of this ancient practice, she finally pursued and earned Yoga Alliance certification so that she could share the healing benefits of yoga with others.
With her restored health, Tiare continues to share the Aloha Spirit with children in schools, libraries, and camps. Her other favorite audience are "na makua" (the elderly), performing at senior centers, clubs, residential and health care facilities.
Tiare offers a variety of programs
Polynesian Cultural Enrichment Programs
Basic Hula Dance Workshops
Yoga Classes & Workshops (with an island flair)
Mindfulness Education and Mindful Movement Programs
Solo Performances and performances with the Kahana Hula Trio
