Although Tiare's journey with Fibromyalgia is not life threatening, she understands what it is like to live with pain from head to toe, fatigue, depression and anxiety.
She has experienced life being turned upside down; sadness knowing that there is no cure at the moment; not being able to function because of medication side effects; what it is like to not be able to get out of bed for days on end; the loneliness of not being understood; living with the stigma of the illness being "all in your head" and the list goes on. However, she knows that her experience is nothing in comparison to the myriad of illnesses and conditions that so many others are faced with.
The love and support of family and friends, her faith in God and finallly finding the right treatments in yoga, chiropractic care, physical therapy, herbal and holistic remedies and supplements instead of medications, and acceptance of a significant lifestyle change have brought her to where she is today.
She believes that stress exacerbates pain, worry, fear, anger, and sadness. Tiare's desire is to share the healing gifts of Yoga, Hula, and the Spirit of Aloha, with all those who desire to live longer, healthier, and happier lives.
"Know the self as a rider in a chariot, and the body, as simply the chariot. Know the intellect as the charioteer, and the mind, as simply the reins. The senses, they say, are the horses, and sense objects are the paths around them.... When a man lacks understanding, and his mind is never controlled; His senses do not obey him, as bad horses, a charioteer."

The famous masterpiece of Paul Gaugin, featured on this website, bears the inscription in the upper left corner, which translates as,
Where do we come from?
What are we?
Where are we going?
"Seeking for origins, trying to understand himself and humankind, his destiny- Gaugin's searching spirit led him to the riddle, not to its solution."
